I accepted the NC Bar’s nomination to serve on its Bankruptcy Section Council for a three year term that begins this July. It’s an honor to be recognized by your peers to serve in this capacity, and I know that my clients will benefit from my participation.
The Bankruptcy Section of the North Carolina Bar Association is a means by which members of the North Carolina Bar Association who have a special interest in bankruptcy can come together to discuss relevant issues, exchange information and ideas, and enhance their personal and professional relationships. Additionally, the Bankruptcy Section develops continuing legal education and other programs pertient to the practice of bankruptcy law, and publishes a newsletter and other publications intended to improve the development of the practice. Finally, the Bankruptcy Section monitors and, where appropriate, makes recommendations concerning legislation touching on or affecting the Bankruptcy Section’s area of interest.
